Mien tay Cruise offers travelers an exciting experience of the Mekong Delta, off the beaten tracks. Far from the tourism mainstream, Mien tay Cruise’s management and staff do know where and when discover remote places and meet authentic local people to understand their specific way of living.
Mien Tay Boat 01 & 02
In a classy wooden setting, the sampan accommodates on 2 decks up to 16 passengers in a well ventilated compartment made of 5 twin cabins with couchettes that can be used as a diner room as well. It has 3 restrooms with showers, one terrace on the deck to contemplate sunset while sipping an aperitif. Its restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, in a mix of Western and Vietnamese fine cooking. Its cozy settings is yours for the whole length of your stay on board, and our friendly 5-staff crew (the captain, one mechanic, the chief cook, one sailor and one guide) will answer each of your request to make your stay on board a warm experience.

- Our crew is trained to make your stay on board as pleasant as you wish. Besides a bar with a wine and spirits list and a choice of refreshments and beers, we offer you a quality food on board: continental breakfast; and local cuisine at each of your lunches and dinners.
- Safety instructions are located in every cabin and public access. In case of emergency, each passenger is requested to follow crew’s instructions.
Tour 3 days (Opt. 1)
Embark My Tho - Cai Be
08h00 am: pick up at hotel in Saigon then route for My Tho (70km).
10h00 am: boarding on Mien Tay sampan in My Tho, welcome drink and check in Mien Tay sampan.
The guests can walk throught the island, trying native fruits viewing local handicraft production and meeting the local people. Then take a brief sampan ride throught palm-shaded creeks.
Back to Mien Tay sampan. Lunch served on board.
Then cruise for Cai Be via Ngu Hiep.
Arrive Ngu Hiep island. Disembark and leisure biking or walking tour on this island seeing daily life and local people’s activities.
Then boat depart for Cai Be, leisurely cruise up the Mekong River while enyoying the beautiful scenery and enjoy the magnificent sunset on the Tien river.

Cai Be - Vinh Long - Tra On
In the morning, the noise of the floating market wake you up, visit the daily life of the local people who live on both sides of the Mekong river, breakfast on board.
After breakfast, cruising by small motor boat to explore the lively Cai Be floating market in the morning.
Walking for visit a handicraft village of the local people and sample various tropical fruits.
Continue boat trip to Mekong Lodge – an eco-resort Mekong Lodge includes more than 40 private pretty bungalows and River View Restaurant, stretched in an area of more than 10000 m2 lays just beside the Tien River.
Lunch on board.
Up to river tide, disembark and make a pleasant walking or biking on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local people's activities, especially some orchards with its famer.
Cruise to continue to Tra On. Enjoy the magnificent sunset on the river. Leisurely cruise up the Mekong River while enjoying the beautiful scenery and the aperitifs, sunset cruise.
A wonderful day with picturesque ferry crossings over Mekong River branches. Dinner and night on board in Tra On.
Can Tho - Disembark
The noise of the floating market wake you up early in the morning. After breakfast, the cruise to continue to Can Tho. Enjoy the magnificent sunrise on the river. Leisurely cruise up the BASSAC river while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
After breakfast, when arrive Can Tho check out luggage to small motor boat which will take you explore the Cai Rang market one of the most bustling floating markets in Mekong Delta with hundreds of small boats barging and jostling for space as owners attempt to sell their goods. And through the palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green orchards.
Check out, disembark and return to vehicle at Ninh Kieu pier in Can Tho. Having lunch (up to river tide and according to the availibility of Mien Tay boat, clients will have lunch at restaurant or on board). After lunch, drive back to Saigon. END TOUR
Tour 3 days (Opt. 2)
Can Tho - Cho Lach - Cai Be
12h00 pm boarding Mien tay Sampan at Ninh Kieu tourist pier, welcome drink and check in cabin, up for cruise to Cai Be via Tra On.
Leisurely cruise down the Mekong while enyoying the beautiful scenery. Lunch on board.
After lunch disembark then a pleasant walk or cycling tour on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local people's activities, especially somes orchards with its famer and sample various tropical fruits in Xuan Hiep – Vinh Long.
Then return the boat to cruise to Cai Be. Enjoy the magnificent sunset on the Co Chien river.
Dinner and overnight on board in Co Chien or Cai Be, up to river tide.
Cai Be - My Tho
- In the morning, the noise of the floating market wake you up, visit the daily life of the local people who live on both sides of the Mekong river, breakfast on board.
- After breakfast, check out luggages to small motor boat to explore the lively Cai Be floating market in the morning.
- Walking for visit a handicraft village of the local people and sample various tropical fruits.
- Continue boat trip to Mekong Lodge - an eco-resort Mekong Lodge includes more than 40 private pretty bungalows and River View Restaurant, stretched in an area of more than 10.000 m2 lays just beside the Tien River.
- Visit Mekong Lodge and walking around this area to see local people who are doing daily activities.

- After lunch, cruise depart from Cai Be to My Tho via Ngu Hiep island.
- 02h30pm: arrive Ngu Hiep island. Disembark and leisure biking or walking tour on this island seeing daily life and local people’s activities. Leisurely cruise down the Mekong River while enyoying the beautiful scenery and enjoy the magnificent sunset on the Tien river.
- Dinner and overnight on board between Ngu Hiep island and My Tho.
My Tho - Disembark
In the morning, the noise of the boats wake you up, watch the daily life of the local people who live on both sides of the Mekong river, breakfast on board.
Continue cruising to My Tho.
After breakfast, check out luggages to small motor boat to explore one of the islands in My Tho.
The guests can walk throught the island, trying native fruits viewing local handicraft production and meeting the local people. Then take a brief sampan ride throught palm-shaded creeks.
Lunch on board or at restaurant (up to the schedule of Mien Tay Sampan).
Disembark in My Tho and return to the vehicle.
Leave My Tho and route for Saigon. END TOUR
