Itinerary
HCMC Arrival - Mui Ne (Arrive by morning flight)
After arriving at Tan Son Nhat Airport by the morning or afternoon flight, you will be picked up and transferred to Mui Ne. On the first day of the tour, you will be free at leisure and we shall spend one night here.
Mui Ne - Da lat (B/L)
Today, you will kick off a fascinating morning with a trip to Mui Ne sand dunes after meeting our tour guide at the hotel at around 6:00 or sooner. It’s where we can enjoy the beautiful sunrise view at the top of the dunes. You will be overwhelmed by the spectacular beauty of the white sand dunes here, which is so unique that you hardly find anywhere else.
Also, discovering the tranquil Lotus Lake is also another great thing to do in the tour, especially when you’re truly amazed at how the sand dunes naturally catch the silvery lake right under the pretty sunshine. Meanwhile, the pink lotus loom after the green leaves, which creates a dreamy natural scene. Then you’ll return to your hotel for breakfast.
Next, we shall reach the Fairy stream - a photographic hotspot situated 18 km to the Northeast of Phan Thiet City. In fact, it’s not a swift-flowing stream you see nearby Hon Rom since it runs quite gently with the water level that is a bit higher than our ankles. Right under our feet, you can see the smooth sand and feel the lapping waves if taking off the shoes.
The stream runs through the forest of bamboo and dunes near the fishing village. So our next stop will be Mui Ne fishing village - a little town at the end of the North end of Mui Ne bay. The town specializes in providing pretty much of Vietnamese seafood that is shipped out every day.
When getting into the town, there’s plenty of swaying palm trees around to create a serene air for the whole village. And standing here, you can get a splendid view of several colorful fishing boats on the water nearby.
Afterwards, we shall check out of the hotel and start to have lunch. In the afternoon, you’re transferred to Da Lat. Upon arrival and after checking into your hotel, spend ur leisure time in the evening and enjoy dinner on your own account. We shall spend overnight in Da Lat before starting a trip to sightsee the whole city of flowers.
Da Lat (B/L/D)
In the morning, you’re picked up at the hotel to leave for a fascinating trip to discover the Da Lat’s beauty. First, take a cable car from Robin Hill to enjoy one of the most appealing landscapes ever in the city. Note that you must pay the cable car ticket on your budget. We all get to watch everything from the sky, at a height of 1,600 m above sea level. It’s where you fly across the mountainous region of the large pine forests and Truc Lam Zen Monastery in Phoenix mountain. The station connects Robin Hill, which owns a popular cafe and souvenir shop, to Truc Lam Monastery and Tuyen Lam lake.
Our next stop is nowhere else than Tuyen Lam lake - the largest and most beautiful lake in town that lies near Phoenix Mountain, a complex of spectacular landscapes and tourism services. Get close to the lake’s surface, where you will see the blue color all year round and it rarely has large waves. The three-leaf pine forest almost takes over the mountains and hills here, and stretches along this poetic lake. Such a scene creates a breathtaking painting for everyone to take pictures. And the lake itself is also an ideal site to satisfy people’s demand for sightseeing, camping, fishing, health caring, visiting revolutionary, etc.
Next, we shall reach Datanla waterfall that used to be called “Da Tam N’nha” by the native people. According to them, the fairies usually came there to take a bath. But according to the natives who had been living here, they didn’t know that there was a stream under the leaves, so once finding it out, they called it Datania and then changed to Datanla at last. More interestingly, you can join a thrilling ride with a roller coaster right from the top of the falls through the woods, or spend some time watching the waterfall. Its clear water stream runs through the rain forest, which makes your walking easier to the second waterfall layers. For those who desire a peaceful moment when going back to the nature, this is a chance!
After the waterfall visit, we shall head for a holy land - Truc Lam Zen Monastery, the biggest Zen meditation monastery in Vietnam. It lies out of the center of Da Lat city, towards Prenn Hill, and near Tuyen Lam Lake. This is where you can find peace in mind, leave the world of dust behind, and forget about the city’s hustle and bustle. The monastery features special architecture besides Tuyen Lam lake. From this lake is a stone 140-step path that is decorated by towering pines. Excitingly, enter three gates to get in the main gate of Sanctuary. After leaving the monastery, you will visit Da Lat farms for further farming experience.
As you know, high-tech agriculture is considered one of the biggest strengths in Da Lat. It helps generate much higher incomes for all local farmers, and attract more tourists to visit the place.
This is why you’ll get to visit and experience the places using this technology to grow flowers - the high-tech farms. It’s a popular place for strawberry, black tomato, and mulberry. Those farm products were first sold in local markets and other distribution channels. However, nowadays, most of them are sold straight to the visitors at the farms. So this is your chance to discover the life of real farmers and explore the regional specialties.
Beyond that, Da Lat owns the breath of France awaiting you to be discovered, and Railway Station is one of those French classic architectural structures we shall reach then. It’s one of the most stunning pieces of colonial architecture in Vietnam when harmonizing between local characteristics and culture. It was originally designed in the Art Deco architectural style before being built by French architect in 1932. Today, the train trip is only a short 7km tour that takes you around Da Lat, but the views from the trip can offer you a great sense of what the engineers accomplished before. Just find the station on a flat wide land - it’s a symmetrically-designed house with the main hall in the middle while a few little rooms in two sides. And what you’ll love about it is the colorful windows outside, which make the house brighter and more vivid in the eyes of the tourists.
But if you find it interesting to view huge sculptures made out of clays, then move to Da Lat Shrink Tunnel Sculpture. It’s the finest 2km handmade sculpture canyon that is decorated with a unique mixture of clay-colored sculptures. You can roam around and take great pictures, especially several of them depict the icons of the city and the country. These include the train engines, animals, lizards, and a big open-reel tape recorder.
Next, pay a visit to Linh Phuoc Pagoda that lies in the central highlands right outside of Da Lat. It generally takes 25 minutes to start a train from Dalat Railway Station. For the first sight, the temple looks special with an open square in the front and a monument of a monk who is standing still under a little two-tiered pagoda. Linh Phuoc pagoda is said as the most multicolored temple of Da Lat since it’s caved with 10,000 thousands of beer bottles, broken glass and porcelain. Spend your time walking around the temple to contemplate the finest details of such a tile work.
We return to the hotel. Your leisure. Overnight in Da Lat
Da Lat countryside – HCMC – departure (depart by evening flight) (B/L)
You’ll enjoy breakfast at the hotel before leaving. We keep moving towards Van Thanh Flower Village that is 3 km from Da Lat City.
The village is well-known for new rose bud imported from Netherlands and their exotic colors, from pink velvet, pink lotus, yellow moonlight to pink roses. Maybe for this reason, the place finds no difficulty in attracting countless visitors to come and view the flower fields in bloom from day to day.
Besides, it also owns many other species of fragrant flowers awaiting to be explored, such as lilium, carnation, limonium, gerbera, and more. For coffee addicts, a visit to coffee plantation will offer you a real taste of weasel coffee. The wild weasels tend to run around the plantation and digest the ripest coffee beans before expelling their droppings around with coffee beans staying intact. According to the experts, after getting into the beans, the enzymes can shorten the peptides and create more free amino acids. And it gives the beans a unique taste and aroma that connoisseurs are always ready to pay and enjoy them. After this visit, you’ll have lunch and go back to Ho Chi Minh City for a late evening departure flight. Our trip ends here.
