Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Fair 2019 with the concept of “Funny Summer 2019”, referred to as the largest annual tourism event and always expected by residents of the city takes place at 23/9 Park, District 1 from the 11th – 14th of April, 2019. Organized by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and Ho Chi Minh City Association of Tourism, the fair is with the initial purpose of introducing destinations and tourism products of Vietnam to local and international tourists.
More than 150 display booths of tour operators, travel agents, airlines, hotels & restaurants join the fair partially for a prominent program of the city, called the tourism stimulus program which encourages everyone, no matter if they are students, workers, or the elderly to learn about new things through short or long trips. Therefore, visitors to the fair get the opportunity to book tours to destinations in Vietnam and other countries in the world at good prices; in other words, they are able to obtain discounts of 20%-80% on many types of tours, discounts of 20%-40% on airline tickets and train tickets, and numerous different promotions.
It is possible to say that the fair is not only a special occasion for domestic and international tourists to get good deals on tourism products and services, but also the good time for organizations in the hospitality industry to popularize their brand names to their potential customers.
As usual, extra activities are indispensable during the tourism fair. There is a seminar on hospitality growth in the era of advanced technology, a program of exchanging experiences between startups in applying technology to the hospitality industry, a forum on Vietnam’s tourism human resources, artistic performances, and most impressively an awards ceremony of honoring outstanding organizations in the hospitality industry of Ho Chi Minh City.
