The meeting between 2016 Hue Festival Organizing Committee and Balloon Media Co. Ltd in the afternoon on March 3rd came to an agreement that the International Balloon Festival would be allowed to take place on May 4th-5th. The Vice-chairman of People’s Committee, Nguyen Dung, asserted that the festival would be a remarkable international social event, so all provincial state agencies ought to support the Balloon Media company in organizing it during the 2016 Hue Festival.
This sport event is hold with the aim of promoting the province’s tourism growth as well as popularizing the natural, cultural and tourism image of Vietnam (especially Hue) for international visitors. The Balloon Media company’s director – Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc Ha, stated that here was also considered as a cultural tourism product in the age of global integration.
The main activities at the festival comprise controlling the balloon to freely fly at an altitude of 300-500m within a 5-10km radius, keeping the balloon vertically flying up to 30-50m, and joining the Light of the Balloons event.
Besides the main sport event, there will be over 20 art performances, which are prepared by overseas participants, consisting of Germein Sisters (Australia), Amurshie Zori (Russian), Michael Milczarek (Poland), and Della Mae from the U.S.
Furthermore, other exciting social activities organized by the Balloon Media company and provincial state agencies are children drawing contest named “Colorful sky”, photography contest called “Moment of love”, the activity of letting the balloon carry your wishes, etc.
