Overview
Check out this excellent Angkor Trekking Tour Package of Siem Reap, the Angkor Complex and surrounding areas. Begin your tour with a trek of the areas surrounding Siem Reap. Visit small villages and watch an unbelievable sunset from Phnom Krom hill. Trek to Angkor Wat through the jungle and visit all the main tourist attractions of the Angkor Complex. Visit The Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper. Meet the monks at Wat Roun and take an unforgettable boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake. Visit off the normal tourist trail places and enjoy excellent food, even a picnic lunch under a bodhi tree.
Itinerary
Arrive Siem Reap 10km trek
When you arrive you will met by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel to relax and freshen up. In the early afternoon we will start our first trek through the nearby countryside. Wander down country roads, small villages with stilted houses, hidden temples and sugar palm trees. Relax in the shade of ancient Wat Athvea and explore the temple. Next we move on to Phnom Krom hill, with its incredible views over Tonle Sap Lake to enjoy a cool drink and watch the sunset. Transfer back to your hotel. Dinner tonight will be your first taste of Khmer Cuisine at Viroth's, a stylish and comfortable restaurant set in a quiet garden. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Angkor Trekking 12km trek
Following breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the Angkor Complex to begin trekking the area. Trek through the jungle until you reach the world renown, Angkor Wat, the largest and most impressive in the area. Walk from temple to temple exploring all the main temples of the area. After lunch, we head towards Angkor Thom the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire. Enter the city through the ancient South Gate to explore. From here, continue to Bayon Temple in the center of the city. This temple is well-known for its 54 towers with enigmatic faces. Visit The Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper. Return to your hotel for some leisure time. Tonight, enjoy a delicious barbecue in the popular Mr. Grill restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Wat Roun – Phnom Bok – Tonle Sap – Siem Reap 15km trek
Wake up early to observe the monks at Wat Roun perform their morning rituals, and you will have many chances to meet the monks personally. Enjoy a local breakfast under the shade of a bodhi tree as the sun starts to rise. Next we head to Phnom Bok hill to enjoy magnificent views of the area. Trek downhill to the temple of Banteay Samre for a break. The bus will transfer you to Tonle Sap Lake, South East Asia's largest freshwater lake. Take a boat trip to Kampong Phluck village and see houses on stilts, floating villages and the life of the local people on the lake. Tonight, enjoy a Khmer dinner at Sugar Palm, served in a Khmer house with a charming warm interior. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Siem Reap – Phnom Kulen – Beng Mealea – Siem Reap 15km trek
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Phnom Kulen, an impressive sandstone plateau in this otherwise flat area. The mountain is considered the birthplace of the Khmer empire and a sacred place for the Khmer. Discover stone carvings in a riverbed, a large reclining Buddha from the 16th century and visit several hidden pagodas. One of the main attractions is a waterfall where you can take a refreshing bath. From here you will trek through the jungle to Svay Leu Pagoda. Enjoy a picnic lunch and take time to explore the area. After lunch we will cycle on quiet roads to Beng Mealea. Beng Mealea has only recently been made accessible and remains un-restored. Transfer back to Siem Reap. A satisfying and delicious dinner will be served at Champey Restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Siem Reap – Bos Taret- Siem Reap 15km trek
After breakfast, you will be transferred to your starting point. Spend the morning trekking through local villages and meeting the friendly local people. You will pass through the Village of Bos Taret. At Bos Taret, take some time to unwind in the shade of a bodhi tree and enjoy a picnic lunch. After lunch continue along the winding back roads and see colorfully adorned pagodas. Back to Siem Reap. Enjoy a celebratory dinner in the stylish setting of Nest Angkor restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.
