Take this delightful Cambodian tour to see the highlights of provincial areas and be charmed by the friendliness of the local people. Take off from Phnom Penh and head for Kampong Cham. Visit Toek Chha (located on a lake), Phnom Bros, Phnom Srei and Wat Nokor. Take a look at the untouched Sambor Prei Kuk complex of temples and, visit Phnom Santuk Mountain and climb more than 900 steps to the peak to view magnificent ruins.
Itinerary
Phnom Penh – Kampong Cham
We set off in the morning and travel to Kampong Cham province, stopping along the way to visit Toek Chha (located on a lake), Phnom Bros, Phnom Srei and Wat Nokor. Spend the night at the Mekong Hotel in Kampong Cham.
Kampong Cham – Kampong Thom
After breakfast, we make our way to Kampong Thom, arriving in the afternoon. Get to see the amazing untouched Sambor Prei Kuk complex of temples (615-650AD) about 30 Km from Kampong Thom provincial town. Stay the night at Sambor Village Hotel in Kampong Thom.
Kampong Thom – Phnom Penh
Following your breakfast, you will take a city tour of Kampong Thom and then head back to Phnom Penh. Along the way, visit Phnom Santuk Mountain south of Kampong Thom province. Climb more than 900 steps to the peak of the mountain. On top is a pagoda which is well known for its drought- well, which local people drop coins in it and listen to the sound when the coins hit the edges of the well and pray. Arrive back in Phnom Penh in the late afternoon. End of Provincial Highlights Tour.
