Bangkok arrival
Upon arrival at Bangkok Airport, you will be met by our guide and driver and transferred to your hotel for check in. Enjoy the rest of the day and evening to explore the city. Dinner is on your account. Stay overnight in Bangkok
Bangkok temple Tour & Grand Royal Palace
Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel before departing on your tour. Visit Golden Buddha Temple (Wat Traimit) with its impressive 900 year old, 5.5 ton golden statue of Buddha. Next you will go to The Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), which is one of the most known icons of Thailand. Move on to the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok, Wat Po and also The Reclining Buddha (Phra Buddhasaivas). Enjoy an authentic Thai lunch wish dishes prepared with only the finest ingredients. After lunch make your way to the Royal Grand Palace and wander around the grounds for some great photo opportunities. Adjoining the palace is Wat Phra Kaew with its impressive Emerald Buddha. Head back to your hotel to freshen up and spend the evening at your own leisure. Dinner is at your expense. Spend the night in Bangkok.
Damnoensaduak Floating Markets & Kanchanaburi
After breakfast at your hotel, we will make our way by air conditioned transport to the vibrant floating markets of Damnoensaduak. Along the way we pass the largest salt production area in Thailand and stop in to a villagers housed to see how they make sugar from coconuts. Board a local boat and make your way to the floating markets. These exciting markets are busy with vendors selling almost anything you can think of including fresh produce, household goods, food and drinks. Enjoy fantastic Traditional Thai cuisine for lunch at a local restaurant. After a small break continue on to Kanchanaburi to visit the World War 2 Memorial at the world renowned Bridge over the River Kwai. Take a look around the nearby war cemetery and war museum. You will be taken to your hotel for check in and have the rest of the day and evening to yourself. Your dinner is your choice. Accommodation tonight is in Kanchanaburi.
Kanchanaburi & Ayutthaya
Finish breakfast at your hotel and then join your transfer to make your way to the previous capital of Thailand, Ayutthaya. See the incredible Bang Pa-In Summer Palace with its impressive buildings and compounds. For lunch we will go to the Krung Sri River for a succulent buffet spread. In the afternoon see some of the marvelous temples in the area including The Temple of Ruins, The Former Royal Temple, The Temple of the Reclining Buddha, Wat Mahathat and Wat Ratchabura, the former home of the National Treasury. After the tour is completed, make your way back to your hotel and enjoy your evening doing whatever you wish. Dinner is at your expense and you will spend the night in Ayutthaya.
Ayutthaya, Kamphaengphet & Sukhothai
Have breakfast at your hotel before beginning your north bound drive to Sukhothai. Along the way visit Khamphaengphet Historical Park and marvel at the ancient ruins as you roam freely around the grounds. Continue on to Sukhothai and enjoy a fantastic Thai meal at a local restaurant. You will be transferred to your hotel for check in and to refresh yourself. Later visit the local markets and just window shop or find yourself a bargain. The rest of the day is free for you to relax for a drink or stroll around town and see what you can discover. Dinner is your responsibility this evening. Spend the night in your hotel in Sukhothai.
Sukhothai, Sri Satchanalai & Lampang
Eat a lovely breakfast before beginning your activities of the day. Our first stop today is Sukhothai Historical Park, also known as Thailand’s original Capital. Sukhothai when translated means The Dawn of Happiness and originated in the thirteenth century. This is the birthplace of Thai literature including the alphabet. Sukhothai Historical Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been almost restored to its former glory. Eat lunch at a local Thai restaurant with something to please everyone’s taste in food. After lunch you will depart for the 55 km drive to Sri Satchanalai and visit the local Historical Park situated on the banks of the Yom River. Formerly called Muang Chaliang, the ancient town was originally 320 hectares (800 acres) is size and was surrounded by a large moat. Make your way to Lampang and check into your hotel for the evening. Do as you wish for the rest of the day. Your dinner is paid by you today.
Lampang, Lamphun & Chiang Mai
Wake at your leisure and indulge in your breakfast and coffee at your hotel. Firstly you will go to Lampang Elephant Conservation Center and watch entertaining performances and meet the elephants and their trainers. Sit down to a wonderful lunch and take some time to relax. Join your transfer to Chiang Mai and along the way have a stopover to view Wat Phrathad Hariphunchai and the Chammadhevi Stupa and roam around the grounds. Head on to Chiang Mai for check in at your choice of hotel. Get to know Chiang Mai however you wish this evening. Dinner is up to you.
Meo Doi Pui, Doi Suthep Temple & Handicraft Village
Breakfast is served at your hotel before we make our way to a Meo Hill Tribe Village. They are descended from Southern China and generally have large family communities. Agriculture is their main means of income with crops such as corn, soya beans and rice being their staple diet. Doi Pui was once well known for its opium crops which thrived at 1,500 meters above sea level. Try the local cuisine for lunch and be amazed at the awesome flavors of the cuisine of this region. Continue on to Wat Doi Suthep and experience an incredible view over Chiang Mai. Next we will visit San Kamphaeng which is the centre of the cotton and silk industries. Learn how they make and weave these stunning fabrics into wonderful products. Visit Bor Sang, where paper umbrellas are manufactured and painted by hand. Next is Thai Celadon where superb ceramics are manufactured. For hundreds of years these wares have been distributed all around the region. See craftsmen produce incredible silverware and lacquer ware products. Head to your hotel in Chiang Mai for check in and enjoy the evening free to dine and do anything you like.
Chiang Mai, Chiang Dao & Elephant Ride
Following breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Chiang Dao at around 8.30am to visit an Elephant Camp. Witness the daily lives of the elephants and their keepers as they demonstrate their daily tasks and swim in the river. Experience a one hour elephant ride trek through lush forests as you follow the river to a Lisu Hill Tribe Village. Your lunch will be a mouthwatering assortment of local dishes which is sure to impress you. Following lunch take a relaxing bamboo raft ride down the river with impressive scenery along the way. Transfer to your accommodation in Chiang Dao for the evening and relax at your own pace for the remainder of the day. Dinner is on the guests account.
Chiang Dao, Pa Pae Hot Springs & Pai
Today you will begin your tour after you finish your breakfast at the hotel. To begin with you will make your way to The Pa Pae Hot Springs which are located in Mae Taeng district. The springs are located in a charming valley surrounded by woodlands. Downstream you will find boiling geysers and rocks forming small pools to soak in. Visit hill tribe villages nearby and the area offers some great trek sites. Experience great food for lunch with an emphasis on local fresh products. Make your way to your hotel for check in and enjoy your own free time for the rest of the day. Dinner is at your expense and you will stay overnight in Pai.
Pai, Tam Lod, Tam Pla, Phu Klone & Hill Tribe Villages
Take your time with breakfast before we head out to visit Lahu, Lisu and Karen Hill Tribe Villages. Get up close and personal with the local ethnic communities and learn about their interesting traditions and culture. Afterwards explore Tam Lod and Tam Pla Caves and all they have to offer. Lunch today is at a local restaurant will local favorite dishes. Phu Klone Country Club is renowned for its special products which include mud cleansing bars, mineral water spray, mud spa powder and so on. Next we make our way to Mae Hong Son and check you in to your hotel for the evening. Dinner is your choice and at your expense.
Baan Nai Soi, Mae Hong Son City Temples & Chiang Mai flight
After your breakfast you will be taken to the local morning market. Here you will find a lot of interesting and weird things ranging from fresh vegetables and fruit, meat and household item to ant eggs, worms and crickets which are generally served as snacks. After the markets we take you to Baan Nai Soi which is a un spoilt Karen Village positioned on the Myanmar Border with Thailand. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant using the freshest ingredients available in the vicinity. Drive to Wat Jong Kham and Wat Jong Klang, Burmese style temples built around 200 years ago. We now head up to Wat Phra Dhat Doi Kong Moo to marvel at the incredible view it has to offer over Mae Hong Sorn. You will now be transferred to the airport for your flight to Chiang Mai. When you arrive you will be taken to your hotel for check in and spend the night doing your own things. Dinner is your responsibility tonight.
Chiang Mai, Golden Triangle & Chiang Rai
After finishing your breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to see the largest sitting Buddha statue in Thailand at Tha Ton Temple which is perched atop of Tha Ton Hill. After here we will head to the Mae Sai Border Market on the Myanmar border. Here you will find almost anything you are looking for with a lot of the merchandise imported from nearby countries including China and Myanmar. It’s a great place to get electrical goods and jewelry. A range of local dishes will be served for lunch at a nearby restaurant. After lunch we make our way to the world renowned area of the Golden Triangle which for centuries was the location of mass opium production. From our vantage point you will see where the Mekong and Ruak Rivers connect to form the triangle which consists of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. Afterwards make our way to Chiang Rai for check in at your hotel and a free evening to see the sights of the area. Dinner at your expense.
Chiang Rai, Doi Tung & Flight to Bangkok
Following breakfast you will take a trip to Doi Tung, often referred to the Switzerland of Asia. With an elevation of 950 meters above sea level, the cool climate allows the Mae Fah Gardens flourish year round with flowers and shrubs from around the world. Now we make our way back to Chiang Rai Airport for your flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival in Bangkok you will be transferred to your hotel and have the remainder of the day free to take in all this exciting city has to offer. Dinner is at the guest’s expense.
