Itinerary
Bangkok, Chiang Mai & Mae Hong Son Flights
Take your flight from Bangkok to Chiang Mai where you will join your connecting flight to Mae Hong Son. Here you will be met by your tour guide and driver and transferred to your chosen hotel. Take some time to check in and freshen up before meeting up for your tour by boat along the Pai River to Long Neck Karen Village. Enjoy a delicious authentic Thai lunch before heading off to The Phrathat Doi Kong Mu Temple which is followed by Jong Kahm and Jong Klang Temples. Afterwards head back to your hotel with the evening free for you to relax or take a look around. Dinner is at the guest’s expense. Overnight in Mae Hong Son
Mae Hong Son & Chiang Mai (Overland)
Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel before checking out for a road trip to Chiang Mai. Along the way visit Fish Cave where multitudes of fish make their homes in the small holes of the cave. Next you will visit Lahu Tribal Village which is the second largest village in the region. In days gone by the Lahu were famous for their hunting skills. Meet the Lisu people known for their colorful clothing. See Lod Cave with Laang stream flowing through from one end to the other. Continue driving to Chiang Mai to check in to your hotel and have a free evening to do whatever you please. Dinner is on your account. Stay the night in Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai, Elephant Safari & Doi Suthep
Following breakfast at your hotel, you will head off to visit elephants and watch their daily work schedule before taking a 45 minute elephant ride through the surrounding area. Next you will go on an Ox Cart ride for half an hour through beautiful countryside. Try some delicious Thai Cuisine for lunch which is sure to impress you. When you have finished lunch take a relaxing bamboo raft ride along the river to witness some beautiful sights on the way to an Orchid Farm. Go to Chiang Mai’s most sacred temple, Wat Doi Suthep before making your way back to your hotel in Chiang Mai. The rest of the day is free for your enjoyment. Dinner is paid by you and you will stay overnight in Chiang Mai.
Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai
After you have had your breakfast and checked out of your hotel, you will start your transfer by air conditioned vehicle towards Chiang Rai. Along the way you will stop at various points of interest including Sankampang District where you can see the manufacturing of items including silver objects, umbrella and wood carving craftsmen and get a chance to see how the locals make and weave silk. When we arrive in Chiang Rai you will be escorted to your choice of hotel where you will check in and freshen up. Chiang Rai, Chiang Saen & The Golden Triangle
Finish your breakfast at your own pace before a 30 minute boat ride with terrific scenery along the Mae Kong River to Chiang Saen. Explore the infamous Golden Triangle region and visit Mae Sai on the Myanmar border. Have a memorable local traditional Thai lunch made from fresh and local produce. Take a casual walk around Akha and Yao Villages and get to experience the culture and lifestyle of these interesting and friendly people. Afterwards you will be taken back to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day doing your own thing. You pay for your dinner today and stay overnight in Chiang Rai.
Chiang Rai & Bangkok return flight
This morning when you have filled up on breakfast, you will be taken to the highest point in the region, Doi Tung, which is located on the Thai – Myanmar border. This area is a great place to meet local Lahu and Akha Villages and experience their lifestyles. Doi Tung temple is located on the peak and has magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and terraced rice paddies. Enjoy a superb Thai lunch before making your way back to Chiang Rai for your return flight to Bangkok. End of Northern Thailand Wonders.
